Detached rearview mirror

The rearview mirror of my car has become detached from its slot while I was attaching a toll transponder to it.



Is it broken?? If so, would any regular Audi mechanic be able to fix it?

I tried gluing it but don't quite have a glue that binds that kind of plastic. Gorilla Glue available in stores in the US is Not recommended for use on polyethylene or polypropylene plastics I'm assuming that plastic is. Thanks!

Cant be sure. The pics, however, are definitely broken.

The pics are blurry (opened them in a new tab and they showed up), so I can't tell for certain. Can you disconnect the wires, remove the piece that is still on the windshield (it rotates to remove it) and snap it back together? Then put it back on the windshield? It looks repairable, but it is hard to tell.

Cake it clips on.If you look at the mirro where it attache to the glas you should see 3 hooks approx 120degrees apart.You need to line the hooks up with the detents on the part thats on the windshield.Once your sure you in the right spot trun the mirror 10 degress cw it hould snap into place.I take no resposibility if you line if up wrong and crack your windshield.
