Start time: We will be meeting at 9am... roll out time is 9:15 sharp. (Oct. 30th).

Lunch: Pennings Farm Market

Duration: We are looking at roughly 2 hours worth of driving without pit stops to our lunch location.

Give or take an hour to stop at two scenic locations to enjoy the views.

7 lakes and bear mountain sounds good as long as the weather will be fine. Also we could try high point or skyline drive (not the one in VA) haha

Lime Rock Park, roads are better than NY/NJ and traffic on the weekends is not a problem.

If we cruise through NY, 9w... it looks like we can make a right somewhere and end up there. What are the pros of that location Chris?

I'm down. there is a local cruise like this every year. They break up into 3 different groups, depending on how much of a maniac you are. But it always ends up being one big group said and done. Waivers made and signed is a must, for liability purposes. Two-way radios, also a must.

Route is taken and sharpened by the event holder. Once route is set in firm, then detailed maps given out same day as meet up for cruise. Leaders must have a radar detector, and two way radios alert others of the cruise. I suggest Harriman State park a def on the route (backroad twisties we used to hit up in the past), along with 202 off Bear Mountain Bridge (never really took 9D side to that junction before). I am sure others can suggest other crazy or fun roads to add to the cruise.

Actually, just send a PM to the guy who used to organised a similar thing you are trying. Think he also does one every year. Same procedure as above, but different event altogether by totally different group of people. Send him a PM, and see if he wants to assist.

Hugh and I have been discussing it. I've been a part of many cruises in and around Bear Mountain State Park over the years ranging from 5 cars to 75 cars. I'm over those days of trying to keep everyone together and it always turns into an ego race. Not saying i'm NOT down for letting the turbo's breathe but, yeah... Bear Mountain and Harriman Park are just to stereotype for people ripping around and LEO's know what goes on during the Fall when the park isn't full of campers in the colder months.

Any who, my initial idea was to invite Hugh up for some of the "nicer" less pothole roads of New Jersey/New York and take him up around Sussex County area, with of course a stop at High Point (photo op), more twisties that are less patrolled and away from traffic and end somewhere for a late lunch in or around Warick, NY. Again, this was just my initial thought process but am obviously open to more situations. I'm from the Sussex County area and know the lay of the land.

That's where I come in... but anyways.

Let me talk to Hugh again and see whats up. The original idea of this was just a scenic jaunt on backroads, photo and cool hangout spots (I assumed) and food spot.

Hey guys, the cruise will NOT be race by any means... this is more of a laid back cruise which you are more than welcome to bring your family to.

Was in a real cruise with Evan maybe 3-5 years ago. It was incredibly fun, and his driver mod was on point. This was for Neil's event. But laid back I can do too. Doesn't matter to me. Didn't quite get the notion of where the thread was heading.

Also, is anyone going that knows the ins and outs of the suspension system for a C6 A6? Or maybe just any Audi suspension that's close to it?
I've got a nasty clank/rattle noise that happens when I hit small bumps, especially gravel.... It's the only thing that's preventing me from driving down there for a cruise but if I can get it diagnosed there it may be worth it. My local dealer is 'stumped' =/
