    Hey Guys,
    My names Roby Estep and I own a shop called Vagwerks Performance and Coating. I have been working closely with Unitronic on some new and exciting products for the 3.0t platform. This is my first time out on the track with this File and Fuel and my very first run. Second time I've ever been to the track in my life and ran a car.

    -2013 S4 Full weight

    -Stock wheels and 255/35/19 goodyears 30PSI

    -Unitronic Stage 2+ Dual Pulley, Competition (Race Gas) ECU + Stage 2 DSG.

    -Unitronic Upper and Lower pulley kit

    -Milltek full Cat-back race exhaust (no rear mufflers)

    -Revo Cooler kit

    -CTS Turbo Intake

    -Solo-Werks Coilovers

    -260 GT plus 104 fuel

    I plan to head back to the track this weekend and try again for a better time. Stay Tuned!

    after 88mph, flux capacitor activated
    he finished the 1/4 mile with someone elses run time in the future

    technically his quarter mile is 1 day AND 11.5 sec

    I dont know why the date is messed up lol. This was sunday when i ran, the track is not the best the DA was 900 when i ran.

    Interested to know what the differences are between a Stage 1 and 2 DSG with Unitronic? Also what size pulleys does their kit use?

    How is this track certified if the date on their timeslips is off by 3 DAYS!

    Nice time though! I'm sure you can knock some time off that and improve the trap. I'd expect you to be trapping >120.

    It's pretty standard to pick up 25 mph on the back half of the 1/4 mile. This run picked up 23.2. Either the tune is set up conservatively on the top end, or he's going to go faster on Saturday.

    How are you launching?
    launch control is set at 4k. I am usually waiting till my 2nd light lights up and activate it and by the time im letting off the brake the light is green. It is a certified track but i dunno why the hell the date is off i was only able to run 2 times on sunday do to an event they had and my other was an 11.7 and i spun really bad on take off. I am going back on Saturday for Test and Tune and hopefully get some better launching techniques.

    I also have a more aggressive file that i will load also. This is a lower timing file and i plan to load the more aggressive file with more timing on saturday. I like to take baby steps and not blow the car up lol

    I know i didnt even know it said that until someone pointed it out yesterday to me. I plan to go back saturday i hope to get a better time. I need some better tires!

    could be driver mod. like i said this is the first time out at the track with this setup. I have never ran a car at the track before in my life. I am still learning how to lunch the car. Timing isnt that aggressive either. hopefully will go faster on Saturday.

    Also S4 record is 11.40 at 119 im not that far off i dont see how you can be disappointed by that for my first time out lol

    Interested if your IATs got too high at the end of the run with the Revo cooler. Could explain poor trap

It was sitting for an hour with 20lb bag of ice on the charger i start up and run every 20 or so minutes drove up to the line with it on my car and took it off right before i ran. The cooler helped alot i ran on Pump gas file 3 weeks ago with no cooler and i couldnt even touch the charger and now when i get back and pop the hood i could touch it.

    11.40 is the single tune record, but the overall stock supercharger record is 11.24.

    I will log this Saturday and let you know. I dont think it is tho.     why would you say that? Cooler system is just a larger radiator and standalone reservoir- not a whole lot of engineering in it really. The software he's using is very beta so it's more likely timing or boost that they're being conservative with until they fully understand the limits of the DP setup.

    agreed and that is a custom E85 tune in -800 DA, put Roby's car in DA 1700 less that what he ran in Sunday and he's pushing .30's at 120+. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but no other EPL car I've seen has even been close to that. Roby is using a beta file that's had little other than a few tweaks and he's already knocking on the door of the top times, possibly be owning it soon.

    S4 and S5 are pretty much the same car. We've expanded the time table here to include all 3.0T cars including the A4,Q5,SQ5...

    I cannot remember why Loe's time did not get added to the table on AR. Something political more than anything else. (For example it wouldn't surprise me if they rejected your slip for the bogus timestamp)

    I've updated the ratio spreadsheet with the Uni Crank Pulley. (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...I8c/edit#gid=0)

    FWIW, Loe's 11.24 time was on an APR pulley and JHM Crank (3.100 ratio) on stock cooling.

    I think you should be able to beat that given your DAs, the current mods on your car and a dedicated tune.

    I'm still waiting for the first 10 second car on the stock SC.

    Are you manually shifting around 6200 rpms? 19235/3.087 = 6230 rpms That would easily explain your lower trap speed, and again reinforce how conservatively you're running right now.

    In regard to the S4/S5 thing, you're right. The interesting thing is, I don't think anyone around here ever really differentiates between the two with regard to the 1/4 mile.

    I think curb-weight on the S5 is slightly higher, they have all the same internals. Pretty much the same car. (Assuming both 3.0T)

    for your first time with it (and what sounds like the track in general), thats a great time. Not every run will be a fast one, but being your first run, that's a fast showing. I'll wait until this weekend when you go back before I add you.

    ...and yes the current unofficial S4 record is faster than 11.407, the boost season is upon us. Records will be short-lived from here on forward IMHO.

    im not manually shifting its in S mode. Im working on the shifting now. I have to log on the way home i think its shifting to soon. i am on beta stage 2 dsg as it hasn't been released yet. but on my video it looks like it shifts at that and i did a log the day before i ran and it shifted at like 6235 on the the log. It should be shifting at 7k.

    That alone is stunting you a good 2-3mph.

    I think it's a really good time given the conditions, being a new tune, and the size of the pulley. I have no doubt they can improve upon it with some tweaks. Anyone saying that's not a good time probably hasn't run anything close to that time in their S4.

    I would like to see some logs. That would really tell us how much is left in it in terms of temps, timing, shifting, etc. A lower DA will help a lot too.... Overall, I think that's a good start though. Definitely nothing to be disappointed about.
