Has anyone heard any more about whether the S5 Sportback is going to be sold here in the United States and if so, when Audi will be taking pre-orders? I heard it should be coming here next year, but just wanted to confirm. Otherwise, I will consider the A4 instead.

Yeah, it's being released late summer next year as a 2018 model. No idea when they'll be taking pre-orders. Maybe late spring to early summer?

The real question is if and when a RS5 Sportback will be sold here.

Found out today, orders will open around April, and they'll show June/July.

When you say March for RS5 SB info do you mean official confirmation that it will exist or are we taking about actually seeing a vehicle at the Geneva Autoshow?

I don't think I can wait until next summer for the new S5 Sportback. I think I read and heard that orders for the A5 Sportback will start in January for an early 2017 release in the U.S. Has anyone heard anything to confirm or deny the release of the A5 Sportback?
