    S6 Steering Wheel

    Hey guys,

Can someone please tell me if the 2016-2017 Audi S6 Flat bottom steering wheel is thicker than the S6 Round steering wheel (cold weather package)?

Or are they absolutely the same thickness, apart for the flat bottom.

Someone told me the flat bottom steering wheel on the S6 is same thickness as the RS7?!?!?! couldn't verify this.

    thanks!

If interested I do have an '16 s7 flat bottom for sake although it does not include the airbag .

are the steering wheels same for S6 and SQ5, in terms of flat bottom width?

I believe the flat bottom are also little softer and fuller?

    S6 Steering Wheel

Feels a lot better than the round. I recently swapped mine. Used the VAG to disable the heating so it wouldn't throw a code when checking. The thickness is the same as the RS7.

I believe all flat bottom wheels are the same thickness regardless of model. Someone else would need to confirm.
Not sure what you mean by softer or fuller? They can be many different leathers, or perforations, or alcantara if that's what you mean...

    got it. Thanks.
I had the opportunity to see the round heated steering wheel, and the one for an RS7 at a dealership. And the RS7 one was perforated, of course, but felt also meatier if that makes sense. The round one felt very bony, like skin on bone. I felt all the hard materials underneath, like the metal or plastic, whatever is underneath.
The RS7 one felt more plump. I didn't feel any hard metals or etc.

Yep, flat bottom definitely feels better than round but you give up heat since there are no flat bottom heated wheels yet.
If I was doing it over again and getting a 2016+ I would pass on the cold weather package to stick with the nice thick flat bottom.

Since we have a steering wheel thread, I have a related but different question. Will a c7.5 heated wheel with paddles fit a c7 with no heat and no paddles? I am primarily interested in the paddles, but heat would be nice too. I can code the changes, but wondering if any physical changes are needed.
