Hey guys, I've been hit with the p0741 torque convertor clutch code 003 stuck off. Trans is a 5 speed in a b6 a4, at first I thought I was absolutely stuffed however the car still drives (still trying not to drive it tho), I've taken it to two shops one an VAG specialist and the other a transmission specialist. The VAG guy first thought it was electrical however after checking with another guy he reckons he has to pull the trans out to take a look as it probably is the torque convertor. The other trans guy however was skeptical it was my TC as he reckons they don't go as often. Basically I just want to know is there any known electrical fixes/issues that might be occurring like a bad soleniod or am I doomed to remove the tranny. The car has 181k on it and I just had the fluid flushed at 174k. Also not sure if its linked but I did have a load calculation error pop up around the same time. I have never seen these codes before btw don't know what to do now! :(

load calc code could be beginnings of a failed MAF, the P0741 code for the most part means you need a new torque converter, what year and engine is in your car? it seems only the 2.7t and the 3.0 V6 cars get hit with this, I have not seen a 1.8t car with a failed converter yet. Fluid level could be a problem also if it is really low and since its been changed before if it was filled improperly that could be it.
