    White smoke from 2001 A4 b5 1.8T

So most every time I go about 8 hours without starting my car it will have white smoke, thicker and lasts longer during cold mornings or nights for about 30 seconds then goes away. If it's during the day, then the white smoke is thinner and lasts maybe 10-15 seconds. I'm really hoping it's not a big issue like a head gasket or turbo and maybe just some condensation but I don't know. Can someone help me out to ease or guide me toward fixing? All help appreciated.

Yeah cost a pretty penny. 1,200 machined and everything now runs like a champ.

You can get a head from pick and pull for about $100. If you're willing to put the time into swapping the head it can be done for pretty cheap.

Well diagnose before you jump to that extreme. It was a shot to my funds but you gotta do what you gotta do. Check cap for mayonnaise material, easiest.

No mayonnaise on the cap but plenty on the dipstick

Any type of that material found in the engine means they are mixing. most likely Head Gasket. Does your car idle kinda sloppy on cold starts for a few minutes?
