B7 S4 misfire and camshaft positioner code. NEED HELP

I noticed that my valve cover gaskets were leaking so I took in into the Audi dealership nearest to me. They kept delaying my pickup day. I pay for everything and go back to my car and notice the check engine light was on. So i told the guy the check engine light was on. So he took the car to the shop forman and the shop forman said that it had a misfire code and a camshaft positioner code. I am really pissed of because they never mentioned a check engine light coming on. Onto of this during the inspection of my car i found black marks all over the engine. The engine was still leaking from the valve cover. The valve cover was all scratched up. They tried to lie to me and say that the misfire had nothing to do with the coil packs and that they dont need to touch those for valve cover gasket replacement. What do I do?

Really sorry to hear that man. I wouldn't take no for an answer in your situation.

Worst comes to worst maybe try calling Audi of America and/or the Better Business Bureau. Definitely leave reviews on yelp, google, and tell your friends/family/local audi guys to avoid that dealership if they refuse to do nothing in the end. Good luck, it really sucks having to deal with shady shops and mechanics. That's why I choose to fix my own stuff most of the time.

Also, make sure you have documentation. Having emails and paperwork goes a long way.

do you have any idea on the engine codes? From what I've been reading the camshaft positioner code could mean that the sensor has failed and if the sensor has failed it could cause a misfire. Would the shop need to go anywhere near the sensor for the valve cover gasket?
