    Ceratec and filter?

    Would that caratec stuff just get caught in the oil filter? And is it something you could or would want to add to a manual transmission or rear differential in our cars?

    It won't get caught in the filter.
    Have you tried Liquimoly's MoS2? If not I would try it first. It acts similar but it is less permanent so an oil change, or two, is all you need to get rid of it in case you don't like it. The ceratec is marketed as being semi permanent. That is what worries me.

    Well if it's good for the motor or why not? These oil filters go down to Micron measurements of filtration so I'm just wondering how exactly this stuff gets into the right places? I got to imagine that it's getting caught in the oil filter? Unless it's getting into the motor through the bypass valve?


    Otherwise what we're saying is that the particles are so small that they're getting through the filter element and into the motor? I've never used the stuff it's just a question I had.
