    So I have lurked on Audizine for a few years now, great forum and having recently trading in my 8P RS3 for this beast thought I might be better accepted....













    Had the car 3 weeks now, its a March 2015 one owner and they went to town on the exterior. After compulsory trip to my detailer to have paint correction and PPF applied to the entire front end, had a few days to drive it and it's a phenomenal piece of kit. It's bit big after an RS3 but not that unwieldy but the plus point are the ceramics. After 5 different S / RS's and crappy RS / Brembo set ups they are mega, even more so than the engine.

    Thought this would be my perfect car but already got the itch to modify, Pipercross filter installed and plus x pipe but should have had the resonators removed as well. Problem is I can't find any clips of the whole resonator / centre muffler delete with anyone driving it in comfort mode because everyone is having so much fun in dynamic. Going the custom route as for me it has to retain the OEM look and the non res Milltek / Capristo options are too tinny / raspy for my liking, Akrapovic is nice sound wise but don't like the price or the tips.

    Does anyone already have video clips of this exhaust set up but just in normal driving. Booked in on Wednesday to have the resonators removed so would ideally like to know beforehand what the result is likely to be.

    BTW did I mention the brakes, they are awesome!!!

    The irony is that this cost me less than what I would have to pay to hold out for the new 8V FL RS3 saloon / sedan with a lesser spec it was a no brainer really!

    I have full miltek non res and downpipes, I can try and take a video for you. However I can tell you it is wonderfully subtle in comfort mode!

    Exhaust-a-fix in Darlo near where I work. Glenn who owns Revolution is a good mate, the boys there have done all work on my RS3 and B7 RS4

    Hope you enjoy the new noise it makes a difference. Mine was too quiet before. Small world anyway. If you're ever free id like to see how mine does next to yours. I've been considering trading up for an rs6 unless it's not much faster. Would you mind?

    There's 2 other Sepang RS7's I know of, a whole bunch of C7 RS6's and a couple of Huracans you could try your luck against. I don't think there will be that much between a S and RS until well past 3 figure speeds.

    My APR Stage 1 RS3 could keep a stock C7.5 honest, I didn't trade it for power gains per se.

    There's guys with rs6s but they're too civil and proper. No baiting them. The huracan is that footballers Steve someone I think. Surprised I ain't seen yours around. Mines Sepang too.

    Just got it 3 weeks ago and it was at my detailers for one of those so limited driving of it until this weekend just gone

    Going to try and put it on Richie Martins new MAHA dyno and see what the numbers are.

    DDB, Dave's been looking after my cars for years and always does a top job. He also collaborates with John Beale at Autoshield for PPF film instal which is why mine was there a few days

    Do you mind me asking how much the ppf was? Anth at custom coats did my wheels and wrapped all the chrome. They recommended power flow too they do awesome stuff. His welding is phenomenal. Good bunch of skilled shops locally we are quite fortunate.

    Around £1400 IIRC for full front end, custom sections for all the carbon fibre front and wing mirror parts plus rear boot strip using Suntek. Far cheaper than a respray at Heaton Park Coachworks

    I know it's next door to DDB but not convinced by CC, just my own take.

    Would have used AAS or Exhaust Doctor for the exhaust but both booked up for months, the place I'm going to has done work for both and can fit me in far quicker plus it's an easy instal with minimal welding so not too concerned on quality given they are using 304 steel

    Fair enough they've done a good job on mine I think. In hindsight I should have had it protected right away got a stone chip now which needs reparing. Damn!
