At 135K miles, the clutch is finally on its way out. Anyone know of good shops with good labor rates for a clutch replacement? Been calling around and some places charge $1000 alone for labor. Anyone have better alternatives in the new Jersey area?

That's pretty standard for labor on a clutch job. You probably won't find much better from a reputable shop.
