I have a 98 a4. I'm swapping in a 2001 40v 4.2. I'm having troubles figuring out the wiring to get the engine harness to match the body. Also need to know if someone can tweak my ecu for a manual, and Sai delete, egr delete and immobiliser defeated

You're going to need a facelift pedal assembly too, in order to convert to DBW from the 98 DBC I believe, you probably already knew that though.

I believe you just need to splice the 5 body plugs, no?

Idk was thinking that's all I needed to do. However was seeing if someone knew for sure. I know that there are more wires in the v8 harness to the body. Was seeing if anyone else have done this and what to do. Yes I'm taking the pedal and mount out of the a6

This is a very detailed write up of what is needed to swap a v8 into any b5 in existance. I would PM the OP and see what he has to say about any questions you have.
