This is the real deal, D2 S8 intake manifold, imported from Germany. These have two flap mechanisms that move at the same time, thus getting the flaps completely out of the way of the throttle body flow path, rather than right in the middle. They also have small, individual flaps, for even less restriction in the plenum. Finally, they come with factory cleanup around the trumpets. This is why this is the best performing intake manifold for VW/Audi 4.2L MPFI engines. It bolts on to the heads, but requires:
-a plate made to adapt the throttle body elbow,
-a little material removed from the plastic radiator core support (lock carrier in Audi speak),
-a B7 S4 oil filter housing, if you don't already have a B7,
-and a little creativity with wiring and hoses to adapt your stock S4 stuff.

It has two flap mechanisms, but they move at the same time, so it's not like you need a separate controller or anything.

JHM did not pursue this because of the difficult to find / limited supply, so instead they modify stock manifolds. This is at least the same power, if not a little more, less money, and more work for you. That's all the disclaimer I've got.
