First of all, thanks in advance to any replies. Basically I have a 2013 Audi a4 (fwd) with 80k miles so I'm obviously past due to get the automatic transmission fluid changed. What's confusing is that I've talked to 2 different dealerships and one said it needs to be changed every 35k miles and the other said 70k, and I've asked 2 independent repair shops as well about getting this done and price quotes are anywhere from 300 to 600. Also one of the independent shops that I frequent for oil changes and maintenance because it's cheaper wasn't able to figure out how to actually change the automatic transmission fluid, does anyone know if audi's have some sort of special tool or unique under-frame that won't allow you to get this done? Anyhow I'd appreciate any advice as I'm trying to avoid the high cost of the dealership service quote but perhaps an A/T fluid change on audi's are somewhat more complex than a normal car?
