    Hello All

    Just ordered my tune from Chris and waiting on my cable to arrive. Anyone else with the N/A tune have any reviews or bits of advice?

    Curious if you could share what the gains are/would be? Is there an TCU tune available?

    I was told 20whp and 17wtq though I'm kinda dubious of those numbers. I'm gonna dyno Monday and then again after the tune to see what gains I get. I do believe they have a TCU tune but I don't have any info on it yet.

    Please share once you're all done. Im looking at an RS5 in the near future so I'm trying to do some homework on it.

    Will this be for an RS5? I ran a JHM tune on my b6 S4 and there was definitely a noticeable increase in performance. Will stay tuned.. lol

    I assume you had to order it via telegram or carrier pigeon since their website is as old as the Internet itself?

    It's an extra "20 and 17" plus improved throttle. Not slot to be done without putting a blower on. Could have spent a little less but you get what you pay for and I've heard Tony is really responsible with the tune. Will update. Should be here Friday.

    Got my cable Friday but no tune in the system. Chris from EPL read my ECU and I believe they are working the tune. Said a week, but after my base dyno of 255whp I'm going in to get a carbon clean and another run before the tune. Should have some final numbers first of Novemeber.

    Dropping the car off Monday for 65k service, Trans service and a walnut shell carbon cleaning. Gonna schedule another dyno run once I get the car back and see what kind of numbers we get. Then hopefully the tune will be ready and once we are broken in back to the dyno. Chris at EPL said my ECU wasn't in their system so they are making me a tune. Pretty Sweet! Also no TCU tune from EPL for Tiptronic.

    Still waiting on my tune. Finally got it up on the server a few weeks ago but kept getting a wrong parts error. EPL is supposed to be working it out but I'm getting frustrated and thinking of asking for a refund if we can't get it worked out. Hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving. Will update with results.

    A long wait but the tune is finally on after some issues writing to the ECU. Still waiting for it to all settle in but it seems a little quicker with throttle response and the revs seem smoother. Will have some numbers in the next week or so.

    A good custom remote tune should not be a one-shot deal. Each car is different and while there is "ballpark", to really dial in a safe tune, there needs to be much back and forth, just like there would be with a dyno tune. Tuner sends a base starter map and you log. Tuner makes changes. Tuner sends new map. You log and send logs to Tuner. Rinse and repeat until log values achieved are where the tuner wants them and the car isn't pulling timing.

    If you're paying good money for an off the shelf tune, you're leaving a lot on the table, especially with a naturally aspirated car. And I'd definitely have a carbon clean before the tuning begins. Definitely the right way to go about it.
