Does it fit: Kohlefaser Luft-Technik Intake for an A7

    What up crew,

Can anyone shed some light on this topic...

I have a '12 Audi A7 and I was curious bc I believe the S5 shares the same engine and I was browsing through the ECS Tuning webstore and came across the "Kohlefaser Luft-Technik Intake System es #3098775" for the S5 (no intake on their site for A7's), and therefore was wondering if its compatible and basically a plug n' play?

Can anyone vouch for this particular intake and if they had it done on their A7?

    Looking forwards to the replies!

    You mean like this??

(I mean ECS intakes for the A7)

I don't believe the Kohlefaser one will fit - although the same engine, the layout is slightly different so likely wont reach the intake box.

I've asked this before with no response, so I'm curious.....

Have any of the intake offerings been tested and can credibly show any performance gains? Or is it more about appearance and sound?

It's definitely all about the sound, especially if you go with a Roc-Euro intake.

Buttdynometer says, no sound without power though

@jkwelsh thanks for the link (I guess I didn't see that one)... however, in addition to that Arma intake I believe all we really have for A7s are the roc euro and AWE s-flo intake which I'm still considering which one to go with. Any suggestions?
