I stripped The upper Alternator Bolt on my Audi while I was replacing the fan bearing. It's the smaller bolt of the two It's an 8mm allen bolt. Does anyone know the size of this? I can't find a replacement anywhere I even went to the dealer and they were no help. I tried measuring it looks like a M8x45. I went to the auto store and tried it in the Bolt fitter thingy they have and it Didn't fit into the 1.25 so I'm guessing it's 1.50 threads? My only option left option is to go to the hardware store and just buy a few different ones. Thank you for your help I been reading a lot but this is my first post.
