Any factory audi or vw sway bars considered an upgrade over 01 5qm?

Im blessed to have several foreign car junkyards local to me that are pretty well stocked with vws, volvo, audis of all years. Any sway bars considered an upgrade over factory? Can I just measure length and sway bar width off any car and swap into my 01 if I replace the bushings?

Not paying $200 each for eibach when they are $10 each at the yard.

Sport package cars have the S4 sway bars, so look for those. You can also use Subaru sway bar end links in the front. They're half the price of a performance aftermarket one

02-07 Wrx end links will fit the front, aftermarket like whiteline. Rear end links can be upgraded to Meyle HD.

Look at a scrapper and search the cars for red struts. The sport steering wheels aren't an indication of sport package, because the steering wheel is it's own $150 option back in the day

X2 on 034 rear with reinforcement brackets. Most track cars use a non sport A4 front sway with a large rear, i.e. The 034 one. I have that set up with Mahle HD rear end links and I love the set up. Just autoX'd the car last weekend and didn't feel any understeer. Did 3 laps dry and didn't get any and 3 lap wet and had the rear come out a little. This was my first autoX too. Hope this helps.

My car has zero understeer now on the stiffest setting. You have to be careful though because the rear end will come around the second you push it too far.

So if I bought my car used, with coilovers, how would I know if it had sport sway bars? Circumference measurement? Please don't tell me mm. I won't have a caliper in the junkyard lol

I need more details on this stuff. I can weld pretty good and have made adjustable toe bars/ camber plates before.

If I could get some clear pics and measurements I could fab up some stuff.

So if I can find a truck sway bar set with eyelet to eyelet the same as an a4 factory bar, any thickness over factory is an upgrade?

The 034 is 25.4 mm. 1 in. The nuespeed is 19 mm I think.

Run a stock front. A stiffer front will cause more understeer

Go get an 034 rear sway bar, you wont be dissapointed. The resale value is always there as they are super high demand.

I had abunch of understeer autox n with 034 rsb. lol. I think this run my tire pressure was too high for the super hot weather/pavement. I did drift it afew times though dry pavement. Davd you on k03/stock suspention?

Yea, stock suspenssion with kompresd stage 2. Just the RSB. Tire pressure was set at 40psi, way to high. It was my first autoX ever. Learned a lot last weekend. Might be running this Sunday. It should be dry and I'm going to have the tires around 30-32. Just watched your video. Looks great man.
