Drive select not changing ride height

I just realized that the height in my S6 isn't changing anymore when I select Dynamic vs Comfort. If I select "Raise" or "Lower", those functions do effect the height. If I get out of the car, the height will change. I checked for faults with the VAG-COM and nothing came up. Anyone seen this behavior before?

Hey, sorry, but I cannot comment on this particular issue since I do not have an S6. However, I'd like to pick your brain real quick.

I have a question on the S6 air suspension. How much would the ride height actually change from Raise or Lower (maximum in both direction)? is it a noticeable difference? or only few millimeters?

Do you ever notice from inside the cabin, as the car raises or lowers? I honestly think its fantastic, that you can raise the height of the car, say, during the winter snow falls.

In Sport or Dynamic, is the Air Suspension comfortable over pothole and road cracks? I am assuming that in Comfort mode, the ride quality is great and soaks up the bumps and pothole quite well, is this correct?

Do you feel a noticeable difference in air suspension ride when switched from Comfort to Sport/Dynamic? how much more does the suspension stiffen up?

again, sorry for all these questions, I know it doesn't help your current situation, but I really would like to know these things as I am considering a 2016 S6.

    thank you.

Any chance the car is in tire-change mode? I found mine stuck in that position one time for no apparent reason. That would prevent the car from raising and lowering. But I suspect you would have noticed if that was the case. That's all I can really think of.

Good thinking, after some research I found this to be a common symptom but in my case it wasn't. It is acting like it for sure. The odd thing is nothing is showing wrong in the VAGCOM.

I thinking I may need to re-calibrate the suspension.

Both tire change mode and "raise" mode deactivate above certain speeds.
I think for "raise" mode it will lower at 62mph and for tire change mode it is 6mph.
Sorry I can't be of more help.
Only other thing I can think of is to make sure you are on level ground when checking between comfort and dynamic as the air suspension also auto-levels and may behave oddly if you are looking to check on uneven ground.

I often can't notice the raise and lower occur between dynamic and comfort. it seems weird that maybe it is not necessarily something occurs right when you change modes, I don't know... or something is wrong with mine as well.

If you're on the road moving, it's imperceptible to me. The only time I really notice it is if I change the setting at a stoplight and I keep an eye on the bumper of the car in front of me. Then you can see the adjustments happening almost immediately.

Something else to keep in mind is it adjusts in stages.
When lowering it lowers the front fist, then the rear and when raising it raises the rear first. Supposedly to avoid blinding other drivers at night. (Not sure why the self leveling lights wouldn't take care of that..maybe they don't adjust as fast...but that is the way it is.)

I noticed today that I think the ride is changing, just not the height. I assume this is because the dampening is adjusting but the height is staying unchanged. Trying to avoid a trip to the dealer. May try and calibrate the suspension with the VAGCOM tonight if I can find a good tutorial. I removed the VAG drop just to see if that was impacting anything and it raised but didn't effect the changing when switching to dynamic.

Glad you found it. Don't think I have that option on prefacelift. Unless it came with some towing pkg?

Must be a new option. I don't have any specific towing package on it that I know of. Wish I had know about it when I dyno'd the car, it would have likely prevented the car from lowering when it got up to a certain speed.
