Question SPA Turbo clone manifold fitment???

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hey guys,

I purchased a spa turbo manifold clone.Top mount for t3/t4 turbos.TMA04 The manifold fits over the studs but hits the cylinder head on the top studs.Wondering if anyone else has had fitment issues??Or do I need to remove the studs or simply have teh top of the flange milled a few mm to have clearance so it can be bolted up???

I know this is a clone manifold. It will get me by for now.Just wondering if theres something I'm missing when it comes to fitting the manifold??

It looks like the top of the manifold doesn't clear the cylinder head??Or do I need to remove the studs and then reinstall them???

I've heard about some aftermarket manifolds that have this issue. The solution is to simply trim the part of the manifold which contacts the head. Even FrankenTurbo manifolds you can tell the castings would have the same issue but they machined off the excess.

Grind and cut away as necessary or resell. Don't see any other way around it. You can mark off what needs to be done and have a machine shop do it also.

Smart choice. One wrong slip doing it yourself and it can crack, let alone hurt yourself quite terribly too if things went awry.
I hate it when my car acts like a little bitch, treating me like a bitch
