Custom Steering Wheel

I am looking for a replacement to my current RS5 steering wheel- I saw a custom wheel in a friends RS4 that had alacantara and leather mix- the wheel itself was noticeably thicker- this is what I liked the most.

He sourced from Poland and the quality was as good as OEM, if not better- when I search google all I get is links to folks looking to replace their existing wheels with RS flat bottom styled replacements, This is also what the shop in Poland was offering-

Anyone on here had a custom wheel made?

Always liked the Ferrari wheel with the RPM LEDs and the "manetino" but at 15k I think I'll stick to the OEM one :)

Yup the wheel I posted is the wheel I ordered from the guy in Poland. I'm going to PM you his email address now because there are a few places on eBay out of Poland, but you only want to use this guy.
Also, he speaks English so no worries about communicating.

I totally agree- that wheel is awesome- I love the alacantara on sides- do you know what the diameter of this one is? In fact do you know what the diameter of the OEM RS5 wheel is?

I have ordered my Custom Wheel from a Poland Ebay supplier. Alacantara and perforated leather. 3 color stitching and S5 emblem. Will post once I have in hand with quality impressions.

Yes. I found listing for the proper airbag on my S5 so emailed him about what I wanted and he was really good and taking all my feedback and make sure I got the proper wheel. You can contact him and find out if he can spec out what you want, but again I don't have the wheel yet so I cant personally express the quality.

The other Polish vendor, Fly Designs, responded to me on Saturday saying he CAN DO the FL round airbag

I am going to confirm that with him tomorrow and will LYK

Guys, ignore that eBay link. Those wheels aren't nearly as nice as the ones ordered from Fly. I've already send a couple of you guys to the correct spot.

I got black trim on my wheel too cuz I'm trying to lessen the chrome.

I went with red stitching but damn I love the blue, I didn't even think about that.

Button swap was very easy, they just slide out toward the center. Paddles were a little more tricky. I used this as a guide http://bd8ba3c866c8cbc330ab-7b26c6f3...llation_r1.pdf

I couldn't get the pin to come loose with ECS method so I ended up slipping the wire and connector out. Just enough room with a little push, and no damage to the connector. I think the new custom wheel looks much better and the original all blacked out looks pretty sweet as well.

I requested all black buttons with my wheel as well. The chrome is ugly and looks out of place IMO.

Thanks. I had him replicate the OEM stitch pattern. So you're swapping the black buttons out for the chrome ones now? I know everyone's setup/preference is different. Curious to see how they look installed compared to the all black.
