    Alignment Question?!?!

Hey guys quick question I baught a 2005 galant to sell and make profit. But i know we have some serious experts in alignment here in the zine. So i'll ask, i changed the tie rods on the car today and sway bar endlinks. I did my best to keep the alignment straight which is was but now my steering is a little to the right. Not a lot but is noticeble. So i would have to adjust my tie rods. I have an idea how but which do i have to lengthen and which to shorten? To make the wheel straight again?

You will have to adjust both inner tie rods equally if you dont want to mess up your current total toe. Your wheels are actually pointed left, which explains why you have to turn the wheel to the right to even things out. Break loose the nut and twist your driver side inner tie rod 1 turn counter clockwise. Then do the adjustment on the right side but turn the inner tie rod clockwise 1 turn. Now i dont know how much your steering is off, but I would probably start off with a small amount. Guess and check.

If you set your steering wheel straight, the car turns left? Shorten the left tie rod and lengthen the right.

Better yet, bring it to a shop and get a proper alignment.

Your steering wheel may be straight but the total toe may be off and it will ruin the tires.

Two wheel alignment is gonna cost you $50. If $350 eats up your profits on this car then it was a bad investment to begin with.

$50 for alignment? Lol here in orlando fl is like $100 to $150. If i would find a $50 alignment i would save the trouble of doing it myself

Just sell the car as is and let the buyer know it needs an alignment. Most people don't really care because it's cheap and they'll most likely get it done anyway.
