iPhone 7 + Tune2Air = No more skipping!

Thought I'd throw this out there...I recently upgraded from an iPhone 6 to an iPhone 7 and I have not heard it skip or stutter yet. In fact, I was using it for about a week working flawlessly before I even realized that all of the skipping I used to hear was gone.

The previous problem seemed to be that the Tune2Air bluetooth music connection would drop very briefly when the phone was communicating with the Audi MMI phone bluetooth connection. Not sure if the phone being faster, having a different bluetooth modem, or different firmware is responsible, but it is working great now. Not having a decent method to stream bluetooth audio was honestly my #1 complaint with my 2012 so this is a big deal for me!

ive had it connected to my samsung s6 for over a year and not once has it ever skipped, im assuming its only an iphone problem?

Yeah, as far as I know, it seemed to be any variant of iphone 5, 6, etc.

Does audio sound just as good as aux though? That's why I've been skeptical to buying this. I also have an iPhone 7

It always sounded great when I had it. Then I just upgraded to 3G+ mmi.

i have the 6 and when i updated to ios10, the problem seemed to go away.

Hmmm. Wondering how internals (BT?) of SE compare to 7. Does anyone have skipping with the 6S?

My 6S works perfectly. However, I never and any skipping problems with my 6 before I got the 6S.

I've had my iPhone 7 now for almost a week and my biggest complaint is the Bluetooth connection (very skippy). I was told though that it was more of a problem with IOS 10 than the phone itself. IDK im not techy but I hope it gets fixed soon because its rather annoying.

Interesting. My wife still has the 6 so I might have to test to see if the ios10 update fixed the issue with for her. iphone 7 and ios10 happened same time so I suppose it could have been either that fixed my issue.

No benefit. But this is pretty much the only solution for those of us stuck with just AMI if we want bluetooth streaming and to be able to see track info, use steering wheel controls, etc.

My iPhone 5c/iOS 9 had no problems, but I just upgraded to the iPhone 7/iOS 10. Now, whenever I turn on the stereo I have to disconnect and reconnect to the Tune2Air or else it displays "no playable tracks on this device." Any thoughts? Fixes?

same here had no problems with iPhone 6+ with iOS 10 beta, Then when i got my 7+ I have to disconnect BT and reconnect to get it working again!!

I can report the same with my CarPro and my iPhone 7+. Works like a charm, but will be short lived until it gets swapped for a 3G+ MMI.
