    Car randomly turned off

I was driving to class yesterday afternoon and as I was coasting to stop at a stop sign my car just dies. No lights or anything pop up, so when I got to the stop sign I put it in neutral and the car started again with no issues. Took it to my dealership today and they couldn't find anything wrong with the car. There were no codes stored. My advisor said he's never heard of it before so maybe it was just a fluke.

Anyone have any insight? It hasn't occurred again.

Hey....I know you said you were coasting, but have you checked your engine mounts? I was told a while back that if your engine mounts are failing, the motor has some sort of safety shut off mechanism if a certain angle/ threshold is achieved by the motor shifting in the engine bay. It forces the engine off while you're in gear.

I really can't think of anything else.

No I haven't , I believe they only scanned my car for any thrown codes.
