LA S4 exhaust favor!!!!

I am in Beverly Hills area and was wondering if anyone is close by i could come listen to their exhaust, had listening to different videos on you tube and thought maybe this would be a better option... Will gift lunch haha

im gonna probably get all kinds of crap for this....but those who had/have the exhaust will agree...awe tuning resonated catback is the only route I would go....installed it onto my best friends ride...sounded freaking amazing...with the resonators you receive zero drone in the cab from the dsg....also outside the car it just sounds perfect....there has to be a clip of it somewhere...ill search my youtube channel...if not he is jonnydeeee on ig and his has a facebook too or if you search ACIE stuff he may be in there. he got rid of his car a little while back...but it was stage 2 dsg/engine/pulley with those pipes....fit and finish was amazing....look was amazing...sound was perfect...just my .02 cents...

Not in LA but same car same problem...

Went to a meet with a local buddy who had the AWE Touring Exhaust on his car.

Just driving around with him made it very clear that the B8 NEEDS an exhaust.

Didn't want to drop the ~$2k on the setup so I decided to go cheap and change it up later if needed

My setup:

• Magnaflow 11385 as far up as possible
• 2.25" SS piping all the way back from there
• 2x Magnaflow 11365 replaced the stock mufflers
• Dual Staggered TI Tips in the back

Total cost installed came out to ~$550

Didn't get a chance to take any good pictures while it was on the lift

Mine is a little louder, his is a little deeper at idle currently although that may change as I break mine in. At WOT they sound fairly similar.

I drone a bit around 2,400-3k RPMs once the exhaust heats up. I put sound dampening mats under the spare tire in the trunk which helped a bit.

Haven't decided if I want to put it back under the knife yet, the drone is only occasionally bad at partial throttle situations.

As of right now I am very happy with my exhaust especially for the price point.

If you wanted you could do just the MF 11385 in place of the babys, straight pipe through the center res and leave everything else in place.

Total cost should be <$300 and will really bring the car to life.

If you want more after that then buy the AWE system.

I live in Westwood. I have awe touring exhaust with stock downpipes. The on throttle drone on hwy is driving me nuts. I'm wondering if I go for resonated downpipes would that be better?

If you want a cheap fix to make it slightly better lay down some sound deadening mats in your trunk.

Didn't take it completely away but did address some of the harshness.

that dsg rumble....that's why I talked my friend into the resonated setup...it was expensive...but worth the money.........my car is 2001 and im pretty sure my awe downpipes and exhaust is 10+years old....maybe more...still holding strong and sounds amazing...get what you pay for...

I have time this Sunday. I used to have a tune but I sent my car to the dealer recently and they updated my ecm, right now EPL doesn't allow me to flash back until they get the latest stock file. Now the car just bleeds boost like a champ since it's got dual pulley and a stock tune.

I think awe has some kind of discount on downpipes within the first year of purchasing the exhaust. I bought my exhaust in November 2015 so I still have time, but awe never replies my email...

I know it doesn't help as you have found someone else that would be a better representation of how yours would sound. I am in Orange County and have a B8 S5 6 speed with AWE Touring and stock downpipes if you needed.

Just such a huge difference with the dsg and 6MT but if I'm ever in the area maybe I'll take you up on it, grew up in Laguna so sometimes visiting the family.

Ya that should work! You going to Brentwood for the e85 blend I'm guessing? Did you go with aftermarket cooling? Where do you get your work done in LA?

I don't do e85 blend, just crappy ca 91. I actually just installed my crank pulley + cooler so I haven't tried running e85 blend, but definitely will try when I get to flash my car. Who knows how long it is going to take for EPL to finish their stock file for the updated ecm...
I went with revo charge cooler because there was a deal on europrice.
Different places. Eurocode, supremepower, pacific german, and a independent brake shop around my area.

I work in WLA. I have a Milltek resonated exhaust on my B8 S4. Its pretty damn quiet and barely louder than stock.....
