Tasteful Caractere SQ5 on 22" HRE Classic 300 // TAG Motorsports

Although a majority of our builds have been in the C7 world recently, we certainly have not forgotten about the potential of the Q5/SQ5 platform. We are back at it again with a long time client of ours with some very fresh updates. This visit included adding some very tasteful aesthetics that we all feel turned out incredible.

This car is always screaming for a larger wheel/ tire setup as I am sure most would agree. This particular build was not planned to be anything outlandish or over the top, rather more subtle yet aggressive. That said, the wheel approach was just that. A subtle design with a very aggressive stance. The 22x10.5" Classic 300 from our friends and neighbors at HRE wheels was the perfect fit. A very simple, classic design that adds so much to the overall stance, and look of this car. We opted to wrap this set in Pirelli tires. Behind these beautiful wheels, out in house Body matched painted calipers peek out just enough to show their dominance.

To finish the overall stance of the car, we opted or what we know to be tried and true. The KW HAS kit offers a great range of adjust-ability, while still keeping the ride quality very well in tact. To keep our alignment specs in check, we turn to no other than Specialty Products Company and their set of adjustable control arms. This combo makes for a fail proof setup in both aesthetics and daily drive-ability.

Since the car had an unfortunate incident occur, and damage was done to the OEM front bumper, what better time to change it up? Caractere has been a big name in the Audi world for quite some time, and there is certainly no question as to why. They have some of the best fitting, best looking products on the market to date. And with us being one of their few retailers, we were able to get the client a very competitive deal. Prepped, painted, and buffed to perfection, the bumper was installed. We finished the cosmetics off with our in house TAG Motorsports Cosmetic Blackout Package, and... voila! One heck of an out come!!

Looks pretty good. But other than lowered and more grip(with very short sidewall), it's all cosmetic.

Looks phenomenal Sean, love the Caractere front bumper and combination of the wheels and other touches.

Curious, why not run a 285/30 on the 22x10.5?

The 265/35's work considering the Avant look. I am curious to see a 22x10.5 on 285 or 295.

I like the full black roof as well.

Black roof and white calipers are really nice. And those wheels look great!! Also like the black rear valance...

Sean don't kid yourself, that came out f---ing amazing! That by far is the sweetest SQ5 I have seen so far! Maybe I'm biased because I own a white one already, but it's sweet! I'll think about that bumper, I really like it a lot. Hamster in my head is running!

We thought the same. I thought it was going to be too aggresive without anything else but with the paint scheme that we did it ended up looking stunning.

Caractere recommends painting the inlet that goes all the way down below the fog lights (that ducting area) in black, but we painted the fog area black and the lower bumper section in body color and it came out stunning.

Ohhhh man. Fishing gear can do it too... I am an avid offshore angler. Trust me, the wife wants to kill me most of the season lol. But ,yes... cars are a whole different game!

That will change everything. I'm lowered on 285 and it sticks like crazy. Oh yea....its a truck. I think it looks great. Maybe take off Q5 on rear to leave just the "S"?.
