    Hello,

Saw the roof rack was $500 and for the bike part was another $200 from Audi.

Anyone have expierence with the Audi one or recommend another brand. Saw an A3 etron drive by with the rack. Then I looked at mine..

Look up the sea sucker rack. Best one in the market in my opinion.

I second that- if you are looking for a bike carrier or ski/snowboard rack--> note" both are separate units

Had a Thule on my A4 but did not like the way the feet would have to be inserted under the rubber weather trim on my 5. Looked around at different options and when I buy a one it will be a Seasucker.

    Thule or bust.

Its the only logical choice. The same rack fit on my A5 and now my RS5

if you mean security from a theft point of view sure you can- you can purchase a cable anchor (https://www.seasucker.com/shop/cable...ab-description) that sits on the window- to be honest I just whip mine off and throw into the truck when not using- its easy peasy.

To clarify. You guys recommend the audi oem base bars, but the others for the actual bike rack?

    Thanks,

    Matthew

Looks great on a Touareg and I use Thules when I go dipnet fishing. But on an Audi it looks IMVHO like cr*p. Reason Audi provides (on the RS5) a ski bag so you can place them in the trunk and slide them through the front between the rear seats. Don't know about a bike though
