So my stock b5 license plate light housing are in horrible condition. I took them out, sanded down the copper contacts and ordered LED replacements. Well the LED replacements were actually for a newer Audi and required some modification in order to fit. In the process of making them work I may have accidentally shorted the 2 contacts briefly.

As of now I have no power to the contacts on the rear trunk. I checked all interior fuses as well (I'm missing the fuse box diagram).

Any suggestions? I really don't want to mount a flashlight above my rear plate
