    Hi,

Looking for recommendations for cleaning the silver/grey headliner. I wish to change it to black but i really dont want to do all of that work. So my other option is to clean it. I tried different products but not much success.

What do/did you guys use that just worked effortlessly.

    Thanks

I was pondering this myself the other day. The simplest thing I thought of was dying it black with one of those dye packs you can buy. Would love to hear others ideas on this as well

I would sell you my old star silver one if you want to convert it to black, but I'll also clue you in to how I cleaned up mine; a magic eraser. Just make sure to re-wet it to remove the dirt from the eraser, and don't rub really hard or you'll just grind in the dirt. I have heard, but haven't tried myself, that a small amount of windex on a paper towel or microfiber will lift the dirt as well, but the blue part made me nervous. The magic eraser worked like a charm, especially on the B-pillar hard plastics and the fabric where the seat belt contacts the pillar.

I use Blue Coral upholstery cleaner for normal dirt. Brake clean works well on stubborn stains but do not let it splash on any plastics parts. I spray a little on a clean microfiber and then use that to clean the spot. I will use a magic eraser if necessary but they are abrasive.

Griots interior detailer, a few clean microfiber towels, and a vaccum always worked for me. Spray on to the cloth as well as the area you are trying to clean, aggitate grime, hit it with the vaccum, repeat.
