Dark Blue Audi w/ Black Badges/Window Trim Pic Request

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Looking for pictures of any dark blue (Estoril, Midnight, etc.) Audis with black badges and or window trim. I have black badges in route and an appointment to wrap the trim on my Estoril Blue '13 S4 because I was dead set on removing all chrome. Occasionally I look at the car and have second thoughts. Wonder if black will get lost (especially in my RS grille) against the dark blue and maybe painting them silver would be a better way to go. I've searched but this is a hard color combo to find. Thanks in advance! 👍🏻

Life has taught me never try to make something idiot proof, they'll simply come up with a better idiot.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.
I have neither the time, nor the crayons to explain this to you properly.

My BMW was dark blue, and I blacked it all out, loved the combo.

I see a black S4 and a dark blue S4, both stock with chrome window trim and badges...I retract my thanks in advance! Lol, only kidding, but I'm looking for a dark blue S with chrome badges and window trim deleted but "silver" (mirror caps, fog light trim, wheels, etc.) in tact to be more precise.

Now that's what I'm talkin' about! Sold on the window trim! Still unsure about black badges though. Especially with the RS grille.

Looks great! Definitely keeping the appointment for the trim wrap. Still not seeing a lot of black badges, but I'm surprised at how much the chrome badges still flow with the window trim wrapped and no other chrome. Seems more subtle but surprisingly not out of place. E-codes or at least the j-code mod are definitely next on the list.

Ive seen this in person(on estoril blue) and it looks phenomenal. My only advice would be to leave the Audi rings on the front grille chrome(or silver to match the mirrors). Black badges for everything on the rear looks great though.

I thought about getting some black badges, but they will make the car too dark. I am even considering putting some silver wheels on instead of my titanium ch-r's, just like Starfall does.

How did you blackout the window molding? I've asked several shops in the DMV. One wanted $500 and some refuse due to the lack of workmanship in the wrap. I contacted Audi Parts USA and they want almost $1K to include the rear small windows and rubber moldings. Thanks

    Update

Best laid plans of mice and men, and here's where we ended up after the weekend. My vinyl guy came down with the flu and canceled my appointment to wrap the trim. Still going to happen, but not for a couple of weeks or so . Also I forgot how much of a bitch it really is to remove badges (haven't done it since my B5 Passat many years ago), so after getting the rear badges swapped I decided removing the bumper to do anything to the front badges would have to wait. Partly because my fingers were blistered and sore, and partly because I am still undecided on what to do with the front badges. The chrome on the front is slightly less abrasive to my eyes than I thought it would be thanks to the chrome in the headlights, I still feel like black would blend too much and it needs some contrast, and removing the bumper to prep and paint the badges silver feels like a lot of work for a minor change. At the same time the unmatched badges feels a little like a mullet on wheels right now, "luxury" in the front...party in the back. Maybe not such a bad thing. In the rear view mirror, "Wow, look at that nice luxurious Audi." After I blow by, "Holy shit, it's a race car!" LOL. Any opinions on this and the current look are welcome. Also, anyone found a paint that matches the silver mirrors, s/c badges, and other trim on the car in case I end up going that route? Thanks in advance, again!

Got the trim wrapped. Now to try the matte clear plasti dip I just read about to get the front badges silver, like the mirrors and supercharged badges, and all chrome will be gone! ...Then e-codes/j-code 👍🏻
