    Broken Battery Clamp

    Hey guys,

I changed my battery the other day because it was five years old and no longer very healthy/ had a lot of corrosion around the terminals. The Positive clamp that goes around the battery post has corroded so much that it is a hair from completely breaking in half. It currently stays tight enough on there for everything to work fine, but obviously this needs to be replaced. Do you guys have any suggestions on what to do? I have replaced a positive clamp before on our John Deere with a clamp that I bought from Autozone, but I am a little more hesitant about cutting the massive positive wire on my Audi. Is this something I should let a shop take care of or is it not that big of a deal?

    Thanks in advance,

    Will

it's actually the same thing.. just make sure the terminal is connected well, try to get a clamp type terminal, and clamp it tight, and you should be good to go

Sent from the S that used to tap
My S used to have a tap, a valve slap... now it makes no noise at all! RIP
