So i was replacing the passenger headlight housing today and i seen something interesting on the air box. it looks to be some sort of access port or something like that on the bottom front side of the air box but it is sealed shut.

i was wondering if anyone has drilled it out to let air in through there. based on its location it shouldn't suck in hot air from the engine bay because it on the front bottom side of the air box and its facing on a downward angle. it could possible suck in any air that comes around the headlight and into the engine bay? i am considering trying it but wanted to see if anyone has done it and what the results where before i got cutting into my stock air box and possible ruining it.

Its been done and tested on the S4, don't feel like digging the thread up. I did make a difference in flow, but no one has done it on our engine that I have seen. There is a flapper that is installed in some markets.

No It is before the filter so there is no worry about dirty air not getting filtered. I seen the s4 post and how they remove the flap. From what I read over there they seem to get so decent results.

Our motor and engine bay temps are lower then s4 right?
