    Light bar on roof rack

So I been throwing the idea around about getting a cage/basket for the roof rack and figured why not do a light bar since the rack will up installed anyway. Has anyone done anything like this? I found a Tiguan that has something I'm looking for. Just wondering if anyone has, and how do you run the wires to the inside of the q5 without it looking like crap.
I might even try to hook it up to the bottom of the rack itself. So different attachments won't hinder the light bar useless

That actually is a good idea ... but I think the light bar is only useful during off roading

Yeah I wouldn't use it in the city, but I live near country roads and there aren't many street lights. But I guess an alternative is to do hid fog lights.. the deer are crazy around here....

Two things come to mind. I've seen this on various vehicles lately and have thought about how it would look on a Q5.

    1. Get aftermarket bars so you can move the basket around, more importantly the bars forward so the basket can be "level". OEM bars sit towards the back and will provide a missile launcher look.
    2. Having the light on the roof, depending on the color of your car, you may get a large amount of light on your hood that may not necessarily help your night vision. Obviously depend and on the type of bar and how focused the beam is.

    Post pics up once done!
