    Armytrix exhaust question for RS5

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hey Guys,

I am looking to purchase an Armytrix exhaust for my RS5 but before I do I have a couple questions. I just drove an RS5 with the exhaust and was wondering if there is a way to keep the valves closed while in sport/manual mode or if you floor it? the one I drove had the remote but couldn't turn it off while in sport mode. some of you may be asking why I would ask, since most people would want the valves open most of the time. My car is a daily driver and still want to be able to get on it without it screaming unless I want it to. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

use the "individual" option in drive select and turn "engine sound" to comfort mode.

I think even if it's in comfort mode, the valves open up at 3500rpm+ automatically.

Yeah I'm rarely on comfort mode but sometimes in the morning i pop it on and it opens up >3500rpm. FWIW I almost went with armytrix but there's a thread on them being sketchy as heck so I went with good ole capristo.

My system works great 90% of the time. The remote connection via phone never works. After viewing exhausts on youtube, i came to the conclusion that it was the best sounding imo. I do wish it worked 100% of the time, but overall happy with my decision. I just try not to think about monetary investment.

Yes, mine does this too, even on the standard sports exhaust, if you floored the pedal he valves will open at approx 3500rpm.

This is why the YouTube clip of the Akrapovic system sounds no different between valves open and closed when he does the drive by.

Bringing this back. Is there a way to change this? Would like to be able to keep quiet exhaust all of the time. Hit 3,500 rpm so easily just accelerating slowly sometimes and exhaust pops open and is too loud in a quiet neighborhood.
