What's the fastest you have been pulled over at?

Well, it's exactly as the titles states so let's hear em. I DO NOT want anyone talking bad about police, that is not what this thread is for. I have seen these threads on a few other forums and don't see one on here. So let's hear the speed you were pulled, how the cop treated you, and whether you got a ticket or not. I don't condone speeding by any means, just wanting to hear some stories. If the admins don't approve, go ahead and delete this thread.

    How about we dont.

Public roads are no place for excessive speed as you or I have no right to take others lives in our hands.

How fast have you gone at the TRACK is a much better post ;)

I was pulled over for going 98 miles an hour in Sioux Falls South Dakota. I was ticketed. A few years back I was pulled over in Pine County Minnesota doing 96 miles an hour with cruise control on on a Sunday morning around 7 a.m. The cop did not ticket me, he asked me to remember to register my vehicle when I get back in town. He told me I was not the fastest thing he'd seen that day and if I kept it below 80 I wouldn't get stopped. I'm not typically impressed with the behavior of the police or particularly proud in anyway of the police. They have many entitlements and discressions given to them they do not deserve or live up to like a lot of government. But that doesn't mean they're all bad and in my personal view is that they are just like anyone, if you piss them off they lie their ass off about you. Sometimes you don't have to do anything wrong to be on their bad side. Just like any other person in the world. I think everyone would agree but they should live to a higher standard but then wouldn't that be a double standard. No because they are interested much more.

Everyone speeds. This is a fact of life. It becomes a danger when its aggressive and selfish.

I have a funny one relay. My uncle got stopped for 1 mile an hour over the limit in Mound Minnesota. He's a trucker and he paid it. Didn't have time to sit around for court.

135 in a 55, in my dads Vette when I was 19. Took my license for 6 months and got rapped with court fees. Live and learn. Didn't feel like 135 until I looked down and then looked up and passed a cop

    133mph in a 70.

Got harsh words from the cop who pulled me over, I hung my head, and agreed with everything he said, denied nothing. I got off with a stern warning, and I had to take a driver's awareness course.

But, at least no points, or a fine. Still, that was over 15 years ago.

Had a lot of tickets over my life, including two accidents. Wisened up and have around 10 yrs clean license now (most likely 10+). Can't recall most fast ticket, but I remember a ridiculous one. I am going to say pulled over due to racial profiling with 77 in a 65. And first time pulled over I ran from the cops. Let's just say lesson learned. 50 in a 30 for that one 16 or 17yrs old, trying to dip on a cop in a 93 Accord. haha. Hit the NJ Turnpike last year at 150+mph and as long as I was cruising I feel it kind of impossible I didn't pass a trooper (maybe didn't, but got pulled over eventually and ticketed because weaving between traffic. I was just the one who got caught. I live in NY, so points don't transfer. just paid ticket and finished with it). So much crime around here, they probably gave two f*cks about a car they have to "try" and catch. They would rather pull over a stolen car and shoot somebody to get their rocks off, or catch a good drug bust (it's I95).

Largest amount over the limit would be 87 in a 35. Cop was actually really nice about it though fudged it down to only 25 over.

107 in a 65 by pa state trooper me tailing a buddy of mine he got both of us. Just picked up the car had no insurance or reg yet and he let me go with a 300$ ticket. Said he used to live in the city and knows the insurance rate would go up if he gave me points so spared those. Pretty lucky day!

94 in a 70 is what he clocked me at but that was after I saw the cop car and slowed down from about 105. I was 16 driving my dads Jeep commander heading to our cabin up north. The officer laid it on me pretty hard threatening to "lock me up for reckless driving". Needless to say I was terrified and could barely hand him my license from my hands shaking so hard. I definitely learned about "smart" speeding that day. Parents weren't to happy about the $350 ticket and 3 points on my license either haha

Pretty crazy childhood. Story. I had a pretty huge clique growing up and was diverse because I was one of the few who could hang out on two extremes. So integration had my clique range from hacky sac hippies to straight thugs. So, house parties would be a very mixed crowd (smaller ones at my house). And affiliations spread from here. Pretty sure this saved a few people from getting robbed, just by association. City is pretty rough with making 2014 FBI top 10 dangerous US cities, and New York Times article dubbed it "Murder Capital of New York" (real article).

Used to hang out at car wash because groundskeeper was cool and would rather have us hang there than elsewhere with the possibility of getting arrested. One rule, clean up after yourselves which all respected. One night after leaving here, me and other car heading to down town area. He is ahead and just floors it. Doing maybe 70 in a 30. I follow behind him. Decent stretch without lights. Hit first light and it is green and we float past it. Next side street has a Sheriff. So we pass this guy doing like...70 in a 30. Next light intersection (not counting side streets) green and we float past that one too. Next light red, car I'm following turns right on side street before and I follow (no left side streets on this section of strip). I get pulled over, maybe 17yrs old, full car with 2 other dudes and 2 chicks. Cop asks for the norm, so I give him my credentials. I'm currently on conditional license being a newb, and it is way past my bedtime. haha

Cop comes back in maybe 30-45 seconds with this look on his face. And here it comes...took guy down memory lane. Officer says, "You know, I remember when I got my first car. Just take it slower next time". Credentials handed back with no ticket. He makes older friend in passenger seat drive after...but he is over there tripping face. Could not even make it end of the block before he's on Stage 3 bug out mode and other friend had to take over. "Yo, I can't see sh*t". lmfao. Miss the 90s so much!!!

This must of been in Detroit.

Says what state in post. And there are def speed cameras in the US. Not just speed, but stop light cameras are more existant.

Went to DC couple times, and AZ resident gave me an offical tour while there with ending at the river front for some drinks. Definately differnet there...to say the least (was there work related, and even worked in a DC power plant that powered Capital Power, medical research center that has highest US stock anthrax, etc). In the clean part, by the white house tourist area, you will never see a car get pulled over. Everything is done through camera and you get your ticket in the mail. It's incredibly espionage over. So there is like the secret service, military, and cops are their back up. Too much going on, and cops basically keep things coordinated physically, and military gives the orders. Can't have military everywhere. It's a tourist area and it just isn't a good look.

I was there in a box truck one time and seen this sign clearly say no trucks. Cop sitting right there, but I generally don't really give a f*ck. Figured if I got pulled over, I'd throw the "I didn't see the sign, officer" bit at him. So right as I'm about to go for it he pulls out and blocks that road, so I have to make a right at the y-junction. Like clockwork out of a Bollywood script. How he pulled out and did that was pure precision. Telling you, it is quite different. Anywhere else that cop would have been itching to add to his quota.

There was this cruise last year that ended at an Audi only professional photo session somewhere in NJ (good times, and cruise was actually created to caravan to the Audi only meet.). He does it every year if you want to roll next year, if you are reading this Pete (same GS Plaza crew set up the cruise to the event. car was dirty as crap this year with huge door dent I don't really want to get into, so didn't roll this year. let's just say...women drivers. but this year had way more cars than last year). And you know what happens when you get a bunch of Audi heads together, and mostly all on AZ. So yeah, let the good times roll (literally). Don't know where we are at this time, probably Garden State Parkway, and I notice this car behind us with an angry driver on his cell phone. Pick up cell phone, and word spreads to the rest of the caravan. Noticed it was an off duty officer, signified by having a personal vehicle being a Crown Victoria, and message relayed properly (guy loves his job too damn much. lol).

We split off and some of us ended up in a rest area...which is the group I was in and followed. Really, I think he was going to follow anywhere my car went. I am sort of a mad man on the road at times like this. But just stay your normal course, as regular commuter vehicle on road, and everything will be just fine. Same for how the rest of us mad men drive when in such a large group, and why we avoid accidents with each others. It's called passive aggressive driving, and those who enjoy their vehicles know what I mean. None of us want to crash our cars...and communication with other persons involved in the cruise is crucial (ie eye contact and telling other to go first is key, for example). Anyways, off duty cop is now in rest area waiting for back up to arrive...which never shows. Got angry and just drove off. LOL. This is NJ in the summertime when crime is at it's peak, with real crimes to fight (ie car jackings are real in NJ, and it's not a movie). They can give two f*cks about a couple car guys out having summertime fun.

pic of event (only time to get quality professional pics...for free. thanks, Mike. much appreciated event hosted by AZ member and how I acquired my only pro pics. he made us move our vehicles multiple times to create scenarios where we can have multiple personal shots, backdrop scene pics for those who wanted to get creative, AZ cutie with B8 if you wanted her to model by your car, etc)

pic of my beater (b5) and example of quality pics you will recieve, in case anybody close by wants to join next year. just one example of angle taken and rearrangement requested by host to produce such shots. I have many more. keep your eyes on the regional section if interested next year. cool non-stuck up crowd. RS owners are avid enthusiasts and humble, for example. R8 showed up this year, and think more than one at that.

all natural pics are always the best. didn't even know Mike took this pic till file was released. leftover crowd, to see how chill it can be (I'm in here somewhere). it's events like this where you meet more close by Audi heads and how I was invited into my current Audi clique (and built friendships you would never expect to have with bonds for life)

to expand on friendships you would not expect, even AZ vendors. night spent at Hugh@EuropaPart's house before Waterfest couple years back. little BBQ. this is NJ, so expect things like having a little kid pee on your car, catch him doing it, and having him cry on the side of the road waiting for his mother to show so I can tell on him...and he can go home and catch a well deserved beating. yes, this really happened. and not to add having my car backed into earlier that day in Jersey City and having a grown woman crying on the side of the road. yes, this also really happened. as they say...Jerz!!!

/pic whoring with extra long post that went sort of rogue

If I lived in Michigan I would be selling "legalized" marijuana on the side for pocket money. Learn your state laws, and you may want to dip into that avenue. Heads up, equipment is not cheap and there is the whole getting seeds into US from Canada aspect which is drug smuggling clearly known. Then you have to worry about Federal law, but State law is ok (I forget exact number, but I want to say you are legally allowed to sell 7lbs/year to patients with medical cards). That is assuming you can get your hands on the seeds. But you live in Detroit, so you probably just have to do something like cross the street to get authentic seeds. haha

What's the fastest you have been pulled over at?

Day after I bought my b5. 85 in a 25. Didn't have my insurance card or registration and the inspection stickers where fake. Got 3 tickets for that (45-25 for the speeding ticket). Went to court and beat all 3 tickets. Then caught 10 points in 1 month(3 speeding tickets in a month) Lost my license for a year. Still have like 4 points to work off!

I have to ask the age of some people, how do you go about trying to avoid higher points listed on the ticket(s), and how do you go about trying to lower points that you do end up receiving (if any) after judge hits the hammer? Also, if you have a clean record, how long has it been clean for? Good questions hardly asked on a forum board of car enthusiasts. Ever witness pure irony before? If not, you just did...maybe?!?!

ie in my city no lawyers needed. you always plea not guilty, check box for no deposition because that is paperwork...which is work and effects the lesser plea deal you will be offered. no matter the lesser plea deal, just accept it. and if you make them do paperwork, not quite sure what will happen. but cop giving ticket should tell you not to ask for one. if so, he isn't doing his job right because that shit is like clockwork here. for someone like me they will offer a plea with no points, but ticket and court fee fines will be like $350. more money for them, make me pay for speeding literally, and very fair allowing me to pay higher fine with no points. happened couple years ago with 75 or 80 in a 55. reduced to parking on curb ticket because that is the most expensive parking ticket they can hand out. but judge also has my driving record in front of him and while the whole standing in front of him took place, he sees that I got pulled over for the same ticket maybe 7 months prior. same offer and lesser accepted plea deal. reduced plea deal I'm in court for already signed in other room with prosecutor and some judges like to honor the word of being called "honorable". so, he basically wanted to let me know he knows by mentioning it, auto thoughts settle in to acknowledge lesser deal could not have been as good because prosecutor basically did not care too much when deciding offers for lesser plea deals (traffic court always has a packed room, with the occasional oddball 1-3 real cases, and he has to go through the same process with each and everyone. never understood why the oddballs end up in traffic court...in cuffs. but I have been there in the past cuffless...more than once...and that too are whole other stories), gave me that deal because I have a clean record vs actually looking at my record, and final judgement is still his. I always had good experiences with this particular judge. like I said, it's like clockwork and haven't been pulled over in NY for years to not have next ticket slide too, as long as not too excessive. we actually do everything by mail now. no court, same process, they mail back lesser deal, you sign, and send back in. pay fine by date whatever date on confirmation letter says, and done. like I said...clockwork
