    CarPlay issues?

    Anyone have issues with CarPlay not connecting sometimes? It happens about 25-30% of the time. I am using Audi's iPhone cable, It seems to happen sporadically. Sometimes it doesn't connect at all (but still charges the phone). IPhone 6s iOS 10. But I've had this issue with the previous iOS as well.

    I have the same exact issues. The most annoying part is when Spotify will not play/load the music. I was hoping the iOS 10 update would give more apple CarPlay features, but I haven't noticed anything different...

    I agree. I use it mostly for Spotify too and have the same issue. I was hoping for more CarPlay features too - there are other apps I wish we have access too (i.e. Waze, weather apps)...

    I don't have any connection issues, but I don't use Spotify, so take that under advisement.
    Like many, my main gripe lies with the fact an embarrassingly small number of apps can be used over CarPlay. Seriously, get your shit squared away Apple.

    I dont have any iphone but I only got Android Auto working one time, when I first picked up the car. Since then its never worked for me. I just connect through bluetooth anyway since I use Waze for mapping. Theres not much I would use Android Auto for I suppose.

    A friend's '17 Civic pushes a button (I forget whether it was on the steering wheel or on his touch screen display when he's using Carplay)...and Siri is listening (so he can issue commands). Do we have this function somewhere? Or do I have to push my iphone's home button to get it to work?

    The Siri button is in the lower left of the CarPlay screen. Looks like a white iPhone button.

    The reason there are so few apps is a legal issue, not an Apple issue.

    Yes, I have the same issue. I have an iphone 7 and sometimes it doesn't connect right away. I have to reconnect it in order for it to work. Not a huge issue but annoying nonetheless.

    My car has no issues with both Android auto and car play. In fact, my problem is the opposite. Every time I plug in either my S7 Edge or my wife's iPhone, the car immediately opens up android auto or car play and I don't like that.

    Android here, happens occasionally to me as well and I can't get it working until power down the car and start up again.

    Agreed. Its like, all I want to do is charge my phone while catching a few Pokémon but the car wont let me.
    Ok, but seriously say im parked I should be able to check email at least. Its a $40k car that still needs to have a cigarette lighter/USB charger.

    No issues here with my iPhone 6 plus with current IOS software. I use slacker radio and it works fantastic.

    Lol. True that. Wonder why many people face this issue with android auto/car play though. I wonder if they updated the MMI in the newer models. Wonder when OPs car was manufactured.
