Santorin 2001 S4 F/S

I upgraded to a B8 S4, so the B5 will either sit or one of you enthusiasts can have it. So, in January of this year I had a new clutch(jhm), lightweight flywheel(jhm) and rs7 pressure plate installed. In may of this year I had new ST coilovers installed. Did the control arms, CV's/axel's, tires, and front right wheel bearing last year. In 2014 I had the timing belt and water pump done. Registration is paid until Nov/17. I've done the majority of major service needed except the brakes. This will be done soon unless I sell it of course.

I have 15 years worth of receipts for this car. I will be completely honest about every issue I have experienced with this car. I'm not down with shady deals and I want this to go to someone who will love it. The car has been my daily driver for 3 years and has never left me stranded. I have the oil changed regularly and maintenance done before it is needed. This car is an absolute pleasure to drive and has been extremely reliable for being a b5 s4 that is daily driven. It's important to note that it is COMPLETELY STOCK(hence the reliability). Now, on to the issues.


Full disclosure :

1. Throws 2 codes right now when bringing the rpms to 4k-5k in 3rd. It doesn't happen all the time, just sometimes. That being said, there is no turbo whine, the car pulls strong and without hesitation.

2. The electrical system has been acting up. The door open beeping sound stays on sometimes when the door is closed. The front left headlight and left rear taillight work when they want to. The bulbs are good, but there is a short in the system.

3. I have B7 recaro seats from a 2008 s4 I was going to have installed, but the guy who attempted it says he didn't feel comfortable making custom brackets to mount the seats. In the process he had to unplug the electronics and caused the air bag light to come on. The bags are fine, the light just needs to be cleared off the dash. The seats are also for sale. Ask for pics.

If you have a Santorin hood, I would be willing to trade. I do not like the hood. My neighbors kids dented the stock hood with a basketball, so their dad bought me the carbon fiber hood without asking.

I don't have a Santorin hood, I have a new painted Nogaro hood. Is there any particular reason why you didn't like the cf hood?

I love carbon fiber for its light weight and looks on cars that are more deserving. It just doesn't look right on a B5 to me. If this was an R8, then the hood would be cool. If it was carbon fiber and santorin, it'd be even cooler, but my neighbor didn't want to spend another $500+ to paint it since he spent $950 on the hood alone. Fuck, it just pisses me off. I have to pick and choose my battles. Trying to be a good neighbor is hard sometimes. Anyways, if your nogaro hood turns Santorin, I'd be interested in an even trade.
