Wow I'm impressed that you kept that close on pump gas with a tuned c63... My buddy has an OE tuning flash on his 14 c63 and I had to run APR's 100 octane map to keep even with him from 40-13x mph.. That was back when I running just the APR tune without the CW piggy.

Who's to say that benz had a passenger. We know for sure the S had a passenger / camera man so if it held it's on and was up against a driver only C63, I'm impressed.

Actually, I just realized that may explain some of this surprising result. It is an A4. Across the pond, they get the 3.0T engine option in the A4 if they want it and supposedly that combo is lighter than an S4 with the engine. Not sure how much weight difference there is, but that may explain a little bit of the "faster seeming" car than what we're all used to seeing. Damn, didn't catch that one initially.

Drove a C63 not long ago, I believe it was a 2012-13. Wasn't impress at all. OK it sound mean from factory but snap an AWE exhaust on the 3.0t and it sound more. I will never swap my S4 for this C63.

I think they run low 11's with just a tune.

With a ecu tune they'll run 11.7/11.8 @119. Add catless headers and they can do 11.6 (or lower with a DR) at 120.

Considering he's running a revo pump file it's pretty impressive. Still not sure how he kept up so well but we know that revo cars typically put up decent traps but not near what a tuned c63 should (pump for pump).

That being said the C63 is 503 stock and I have not seen any dyno, crank data, to show any S4s making 500hp or more at the motor. I know we believe the dual pulley cars may be very close. But if you assume that these dual pulley cars are making 500 crank hp that only lets you keep up with a stock C63 not a tuned one.

Is there such a car as an "A4 3.0T"? You must mean a S4 seeing that this thread is being posted on a B8 S4 forum. Also, it's a C63 AMG not C6.3 AMG. The standard W204 C63 makes 451hp at the crank with an optional P31 package from MB that would take it to 481hp unless you have the 507 Edition (507hp). Tough to imagine that a tuned S4 could beat a stock C63 in a 1/4 mile drag race. The video shows a street race which means traffic and driver's cojones should be taken into consideration.

That sounds right...it was likely the C63 as it was never mentioned to be the S. Still the C63 AMG has another 20-30 hp on a Stage II S4 (455hp according to APR estimates). Add in that the C63 AMG is tuned...

The C63 in the video is a gen1 W204 (prior to 2012) version with a 6.2L normally aspirated v8 engine. The 476hp and 510hp figures are for the W205 (2015 to present) version with a 4.0L twin turbo v8 engine.

You're looking at the new ones. Those have TT v8's.

The video is w204 gen with a 6.2 v8 which came in 451hp or 480hp (with p31 option). My best friend has one so I've come to learn a bit about them lol.

Really don't know what to make of the video but it was a good showing from OP!

They also did an S version at 507bhp in Europe. It's the same car just a different tune.
