3.0T emission recall

Just got a mail from Audi regarding emission recall that requires ECM software update. Specifically calling out all tuned motors are not covered. Anyone know what the recall is really about. The excuse stated in the letter about catalytic converter sounded a little weird to me!

I had it done the first day(before I even got the letter), my car was in the shop for something else and this recall happened to be there the day prior so they did it, of course my car was flash back to stock before I brought it in, and back to stage 2 now.

Read the "what is the issue" part- your CEL goes off when it shouldnt.

My cel keeps going off for this all of a sudden and I keep clearing the code. Now I have to get a smog and I can't pass because I just cleared the codes so I'm bring it down to audi after I flash back to stock. Pain in my ass!!

No way! I was just thinking to take my car in to the dealer for this. Had the P0420 code for a while and now have the p0421 as well (in other words - both cats are 'below efficiency')

I know cats are under the 80,000 mile warranty, but I would have probably had to pay for a few fees etc. I hope Canadian dealers also perform this recall - will ask tomorrow.

I just got my car back today from the dealer, they did the recall work. So far I've been rejected by 3 smog tests and my plates are due tomorrow! fml! I was told I need to complete a drive cycle and put about 100 mile on the car. What an inconvenience!

Had this done yesterday and my exhaust midpipes replaced. Had a weird buzzing sound around 1400 rpms. Maybe it's the 2.0 AllRoad I was driving for a few days but it feels snappier. Need to do some logging and see what the EGT's look like.

I did the recall yesterday and my car feels faster (please understand it's just my personal opinion) not that it has more power but feels more responsive.

I kind of agree, I took my tune off to get my service and I've been quite impressed with the new response time. I thought for a second that it might still be tuned until I stomped the pedal on the freeway.

I have a piggy and it's noticeable at least for me!
At first I thought I must be imagining things but reading online seems that people agree.
Idk I'm just happy I got the recall done.
