12mm front spacers with OEM RS4 wheels

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hi guys, anybody running +12mm spacers at the front (or all 4 corners) with their OEM 19x9 et29 Ti wheels?

    I found setups:
    8/10
    10/10
    10/12
    10/15

But I don't find that anybody runs more than +10 in the front.

More than 10mm on my lowered RS4 (OEM wheels) will push things out a bit too far. 10mm is aggressive. You can go a bit more on the rear.

I was running MTM 10mm spacers on all 4 corners (with stock DRC and wheels) and I rubbed at all 4 corners. I even removed the screws in the front fender wells, and still rubbed.

From all the threads I googled, you're the first one I hear saying that. Also the lowered folks didn't complain about rubbing at +10 on OEM rims. What tyres did you have on there? Stock 255/35/19?

I had slight rubbing on my rear at 19x10 et29, but not at the front.

Got any side shot to see how the front aligns? Any rubbing issues?

You bet! They were Bridgestone Potenzas and I really dont remember the model. Only rubbed on bumps, but still.

Ran 10mm upfront with stock specs (wheels/rubber). Rubbed some, removed screw. Rubbed no more. Then lowered the car and rubbed occasionally on large dips in freeway etc..
Rolled front fenders (easy peasy), never rubbed again.

Now running 19X10 +25 and PSS 275/30 and NO rub. Not spaced in fronts.

Thanks for the info, and a very gorgeous picture!

    If I do the math 19x10 et25 would be a stock 19x9 et29 spaced with +16mm.
I currently have 19x10 et29 up front, so I went with +12mm spacers to put the stock rims at the same offset.

For next year I'm also planning 19x10 et25 BBS CI-R so I was a bit scared about running that dimension, but if you have no rubbing when lowered that's good to know!

    Mind a couple questions?
    - Do you have adjustable control arms, to get a bit more negative camber, so the wheels clear the fenders easier?
    - Would you mind showing a front/rear shot straight down the side of the car, to show how much the wheels poke?
    - I ordered a fender roller, when you rolled your fenders, did you just heat up the paint with a heat gun and slowly progressed with the roller outwards?
    - Were you able to push out the fender a bit, or just flatten the fender "lip" on the inside?

I'm currently on stock suspension, stock wheels, 10mm front , 12mm rear. At high speeds, i've heard the front rub twice. For everyday aggressive driving, I've had no rubbing. Fender screw still in place.

I've been playing around with this site, not sure if all the numbers are 100%

I have 10mm MTM's I ran in the front that I am selling. IMHO...12mm would stick out too far. The 10's are perfect. I decided to sell them because I just don't feel comfortable using them during trackdays and its a pita taking them on and off.

I also have a pair of 10mm ECS Tuning ones that I used in the rear.

I had MTM 10mm on all four corners. Front driver rubbed even with the screw out, but only on large bumps prior to running a stiffer suspension setup. No problems elsewhere.

    Went with +12mm all round.

Switched to winter setup with OEM rims 19x9 et29 and 255/35/19 Verdstein tyres. With 12mm spacers it puts the 9J at et17 which is the same with my summer setup 19x10 et29.

And went for a drive with a Bavarian brother - no rubbing at OEM DRC height and stiffer rear sway-bar. Will adjust camber when lovered.

Looks great - being at stock ride height (with 255s) makes all the difference with those spacers.

Where did you get 12mm spacers? I found ecs makes 12.5 and in the scheme of things the .5mm doesnt matter. despite what "she" said

I ran a HR 15mm all around on my stock 19" wheels and they were perfect fitment. Still on factory DRC with Hr springs.

Same here, ran 10mm spacers on all four corners with 275/30/19s. I'm also on Stasis coilovers. They rubbed just in the front, but it was enough of annoyance/fear of damaging the quarter panels, that I took them off. I am lowered a bit, so I know that had something to do with it. If you run at stock height, you should be fine. The problem with stock height, is that it negates the benefit of the look that we are trying to go for with spacers. I would run 8mm up front and 15mm in the rear for a tight look. I set my suspension height so that one finger will fit in between the tire and the quarter panel.

im stock + 10mm spacers all around. With people in the car it is easy to rub on bumps, I dont think it ever rubs with just me in the car. It definitely doesnt rub on hard corners though.

Even at 10mm the fronts fling dirt and road grime up onto the fenders, with 12mm spacers im afraid it would be worse.

Hah! Damn dropbox, messed up all my old hardlinks from the public folder...

Here are the pics of the 12mm spacers on OEM DRC rideheight with 255/35/19 stock tyres.

And here are the same wheels/tyres/spacers lowered on KW Clubsport with front camber at -1.75° and rear camber at -1.3°.

And here's a shot with the same rim and suspension setup + spacers, but a fatter 275/35/19 Michelin PSS tyre.

I did roll my front fenders after a few months of such a setup as I had slight rubbing when the car dipped on bumps. It's quite easy to roll them, just need to keep some temp in them while you're doing it and it's a breeze. And the 4 spacers stacked 4x12mm came in prety handy to clear the calipper with the fender roller.
