    Front Parking Sensor Retrofit

I have seen several threads between the 5 and 4 crowds that have done this retrofit, and I am wondering what parts are needed. I have seen mixed info on the control module specifically, mine shows graphics, but supposedly the NA ones dont unless they have either an 8 channel module(for front and back sensors) or a special 4 channel module for only rear and as this is my only nav car i cant compare. Then my last question is where did you source the parts from? I am seeing some who got the parts for like <$300 but im looking and its 600 for a kit with everything. Thanks in advance

I'd have to go back through my bills to see what I paid, but I know I pieced mine together pretty cheap. I used eBay for most of it. The main harness that runs from front to rear, I got from Kufatec. I still haven't installed it. There's been too many other things going on.

Yeah, I already had rear sensors. My park sensor module is 8K0 919 475 B. I can get the part number for the new one this evening.

If you're looking for modules, you can tell if it's 4 or 8 channel by looking at the text on the module case. If it says 4K, it's 4 channel (German: 4 Kanal) and 8K is the 8 channel version.

No worries. It's in the passenger side electronics bin in the trunk.

This is a random picture I found on the internet. You don't have to take it apart like this. You can flip down the little cubby to access the area. It's just a good picture of where everything is. The park module is the small square unit on the bottom, just to the left of the pink fuse carrier.
