Question recommendations after a two month hiatus

    Hi there Audi heads!

i have a question for the mechanically inclined members here - so i was unable to drive my b7 2.0 for exactly 2 months (august and September). car was parked the entire time in a semi enclosed garage with no one to start her so no one looking out.. :/
started her up today and she started up right away but as expected was idling very loud for the initial minute that the engine does to warm up but as the revs went down for a split second the car sounded as if it was going to turn off by itself but then it smoothed out and just continued to idle although there was a noticeable "clicking" going on from the head. i let it warm up for ten minutes and then started driving slowly around the block a few times. i couldn't go far because i had to leave.

I'm planning to go get a timing belt service in the second week of october (as i just hit 115k) and was wondering if there is anything to look out for or possible have checked out because I'm sure leaving the car for two months without even a quick start is not healthy....

any thoughts or advice you guys may have would be greatly appreciated!!!! truly

thank you for taking the time to read my post

ps. gas tank was at half way mark.

The main thing to worry about with a car not being used is corrosion of engine internals as the oil film will either drain off / dry. Not much you can do except just take it out and drive it :)

I would suggest cleaning the fuel system by using good cleaner. Fuel go bad if left for a long time and may affect internals.

Yeah add some fuel additive. Change the plugs and oil.

2 months is nothing. Cars sit longer than that waiting to be bought. Just fill it with premium and go drive it
I would have that cam follower checked though.
