Sucks dude! Dealt with that a few months ago, but worse. Hopefully no damage to the chassis, and you can upgrade some parts. DTM if that's what you're into. If not, well, at least it's "new".

Same thing happened to me, went downtown with the family. Came back to the car hit by the driver side rear wheel and quarter panel. Was a hit and run, insurance covered it and it got all fixed up. You can drive as best as you can and avoid accidents but cant do much when other dumbass drivers hit you.

Well, here is another issue.
The same rear door that got hit is not locking now. I called the insurance and still no reply yet.

Well, if it's the weekend, the claims agent is more than likely not in the office. Don't worry--if they are a decent company, they will do what it required to take care of it. My car had a few issues minor flaws after I got it back, but I called up insurance and the shop both, and they were very quick to correct the issue

I have been hanging on for two days so far. The shop told me the insurance company hasn't emailed back as yet. So, I'll see what happens Monday.

Glad you've got it taken care of. Hope you'll sort out the lock issue soon. Too many damn people driving in the cities. I live in L.A., and believe me this shit happens all the time. Here we have:
1.) slow drivers driving very fancy cars
2.) and way too many irresponsible & careless reckless drivers w/o insurance (and driving w/o licenses).
With my luck, some irresponsible ass in a shit car (w/ dark tints all over and crappy chrome-out wheels) rammed into my gf's rear bumper in a very shitty neighborhood, and guess what...he took off. Luckily she got his plate number and our insurance paid for the damages.

Updating here again. At the shop and waiting for the adjuster. The rear driver's side door sometimes lock and sometimes it doesn't. It happens randomly. Let's see what he says. At least I can vent here.

The adjuster knows how to play the game. He's trying to sell me out of it because it is a wear and tear item.

just bitch long and hard enough and you'll get it, especially something that cheap. I was an adjuster for about 2 years. It was an awful job because of what I just told you to do but it works

It is a pain in you know what job.I took the car in today and with luck the shop had a copy of the codes that part was throwing.
I also ran it with vagcom and the same code came up prior to me taking it.
The adjuster wanted proof, so he got it. He had a nasty remark about how people want or like to get items replaced for free. So, I told him I ain't other people and go f... Your self.
