    Brake Squeal and Premature Wear

Had dealer put on new brakes in the early spring this year on my 2012 3.2 Q5. This is my second Q5 and 4th Audi (A6's prior). The brakes has squealed badly and continually as I am coming to a stop since new. Dealer has blamed it on frozen brake dust then corrosion and has done nothing to address the issue. Now at just over 12,000 KM since they were put on the brake pad light has come on so this means that these pads have worn out in less than a year and only 12,000 (mostly highway miles). The original front pads lasted 60,000 km. Is this something that others have run into... pretty much done with the Audi brand based on the squeal and this issue now. Dealer is in Richmond BC and I had an issue there before when they put the wrong brake pads on my A6 and it took them months and multiple trips back before they really looked at the problem and put the right pads on... which they wanted to charge me for!

Thanks for any assistance on this. Would like to know if this is a one of or common.

Time to find a new dealer/shop to take it too. Have never had any issues with brakes on three Audis (TT, A4, and Q5).
