Hi, I have an 03 a4 convertible not being the original owner is it so post to make a beep or chirp when locking? Mine does nothing. The lights flash and all, even if I push the panic button the lights will go off and flash. I read up a little on it, but is it so post to be like a horn or like chirp like the newer Audis?

Yeah, most likely a bad worn out battery in the alarm siren. The best fix is to replace the siren. Otherwise, it's possible the alarm siren sound off is turned OFF as an adaptation setting, unlikely but possible.

You need to use VCDS to view the adaptation channels for the Comfort control module.

    It sounds like a chirp.
