    Ran over a Deer....

Last weekend I inadvertently ran over a Deer that had been previous hit by another vehicle. The animal was already down but definitely full grown. Given that it was night, raining and had a car ahead of me I wasn't able to avoid. Rather than taking it over a wheel, I just straddled it and hoped for the best.

Filling that incident I pulled over and saw quite a mess...I have a s-line avant so the front splitter was cracked by the impact. Lots of parts (Inc a hoof ) were caught up and around the exhaust system. I decided to take it to my local dealer to make sure that that nothing critical was damaged. They looked around and noticed that one of the nubs on the gas tank had been sheered off...see attached pic.

So far jury is out on if this means I should replace the tank...any thoughts/opinions on how that nub affects the tank and its ability to hold the gas safely?

Your a/c ok? I had the same thing happen to me back in 07 on 295 in NJ. Turns out it punctured my condenser.

A/c seems fine..piushed up the lowest row on the radiator but that's seems to be ok

The front bumper/splitter pushed the deer down under the car....
