Paris Motor Show - New Q5

I've been watching for the announcement to see what the new Q5 looks like. I wasn't impress with the spy photos that were out there. I have to say, after seeing it in full, I'm impressed with the exterior. The interior leaves a little to be desired but still a huge upgrade. Can't wait for the SQ5 to show up.

I'm liking what I see of this new Q5 so far, and I actually like the interior. The only thing I still have trouble getting over in these new generations is that fixed screen for the AMI/MMI. I also like that the side mirrors are smaller than the current Q5, but I do not like this door placement; regardless of the lower drag coefficient. I've been borrowing a 2016 Q5 as my B8 is being fixed, and the large mirrors are difficult for me to see around; they're simply hazardous IMO.

I like it. No chance of me jumping now to be honest. I learned my lesson on buying cars first and second year. I really like and enjoy driving my SQ5 since the exhaust and tune. Plan on keeping until the cows come home. Looking forward to see how the SQ5 will look.....

Couldn't agree more, that SB ticks a lot of buttons for me and the RS3 is underwhelming to me since I'm already running Stage 2 on the S3. I still think I'm going to the dark side after the S3, but time will tell.

Not super impressed honestly.

Not sure I like the line angles over the wheel arch gaps bumping up like that.

Looks very evolutionary not revolutionary for certain. Can't place what I don't like about the ass of it, but it's something.

Several really good features in there however.
Super interested in seeing those matrix LED's in use.

I don't believe the exhaust is integrated into the valance, but I could be wrong. From the video posted by Jimminez, when you get a chance to see the rear exhaust/valance up close, it just looks like mesh and no pipe(s). Plus, there is no exhaust growl or exhaust sound at all, which is really odd for a TDI. The road noise seems to be the loudest aspect of the Q5 in the video. Really weird IMO.

Hello Gents,
I was intrigued by the short clips popping up thru the week,
but now that I can see the whole thing, it's just a big MEEEH, for me at least.
Minute exterior evolution, Virtual Cockpit and probably feels lighter, but nothing to excite or make me feel I'd get one of these!!
Our solidly modded SQ5s look still great, more muscular, and drive AWESOME😁😁😁! Klasik👍!
So I'm glad I won't be worrying about a trade in anytime soon.

Not bad, I was hoping to see them with the back optics. While I'm excited to see the new SQ5, I doubt I'll be trading up for it. Everything announced so far sounds great though.

Ah shucks, thanks. I'm not feeling it as much as you. I'm not a fan of the rounded front fenders but I'm sure they'll grow on me over time. As I watch the videos, there are lots of cool little things that I like.

Like the Nardo SB, it looks way better than in a metallic color since it takes away those hood lines a little.

I'm really liking the idea of the RS3, in Nardo with BO. Problem is I will have to sell both the SQ and the 4Runner to have a smaller second car. Right now I keep circling back to a Touareg and I kind like that stable with an RS3. If the RS4 Avant comes though, SQ stays. Oh please have the RS4 come.

Yea, that one is going to need to be seen IRL for sure. I'm doing one no matter I'd say. It's nearly exactly what I've been wanting for a long time.

You know I like the 3, but it would not be "my" car so it's not going to happen. SQ and R for now, SQ gone in a year for something, R will stay another year. Maybe a new SQ to replace Stacey's R. Way too early to tell haha. And Nardo is cool but I'm not taking on that maint nightmare.

True! Saw the Nardo R8 with stealth. I actually preferred regular gloss Nardo. The color looks really odd now.

Don't worry about it. Found TAG's RS7 Nardo wrapped in stealth. On the fence. Need better pics in sunlight as what I saw was overcast.
