    Heat Exchanger Only Cooling Upgrade

Is anyone running an upgraded heat exchanger without an additional reservoir? I ask because APR is selling the CPS radiator only at the moment -- no pump, no reservoir -- and I'm considering installing it in connection with upgrading to stg. II. My car sees plenty of spirited daily driving, but no track work. I've combed the forums, and the closest I can find to real-world insight into the performance benefits/losses of doing a heat exchanger without any other add-ons is in AWE's graphs, here:

Anyone have real-world insight into whether a heat-exchanger-only upgrade will adequately manage IATs for hard, mountain driving at stg II?

I ran just the exchanger for a while and it's definitely worth your time. However I have AWE which I've heard is better than APR. Who knows. Worth checking how many passes the APR one has and total surface area.

Since I know it works my advice is AWE or recently there was a group buy on PLM for exchanger and res for like $850.

Being delivered....don't have real world experience but this package intrigued me. It's on group purchase now.

I was able to buy the PLM heat exchanger and reservoir for 800 6 weeks ago. Just email them and ask them to honor it.

The front HX is the most beneficial part of the s/c cooling loop, so yes upgrading it will see benefits.
