APR...Will APR stage 1 ever be on sale in the near future?

hi- a buddy of mine called APR a few weeks ago, and IIRC, he was told it will be 100$ off at H2Oi this coming weekend. I believe 599$ is the regular price of install for Stg1; but he did not specify if it was for the 91 or 93 Octance tune. Personally I want the 93 tune; but I wont drive 4 hrs for 100$ less since it will cost that much for gas/tolls, etc.
I plan to get my tune in NJ next weekend for about $500(installed); I will decide between Revo and APR by that time....

Question for those who are reading this im going next week for my tune deff now with the sale..

If stage 1 vs stage 2 is just hardware... would the tune its self be negligible?

As in the file from 1-2 cant make that much of a difference over 1+ hardware (looking at the numbers of 5 +hp roughly +20tq) looks like hardware.... thoughts? obvi going to stage II with sale but just wondering anyone feel that way? (93 octane)

called local tune shop, Precision Motorwerks for a Stage 2 APR Tune and my cost total OTD is $868 after Oktoberfest discount! no thanks I will wait for the Revo Sale, 034 Motorsport wasn't going to charge me any labor on their Revo Stage 2, so $549+tax only without any discounts. This is why I am leaning towards Revo, plus I don't see too much difference in the two tunes based on reviews.
