Just purchased the OBDeleven tool

Has anyone used it on the B7 platform? If not, I guess i'll put a review of it up considering I have quite a bit to do to my car with it.

I heard good thing about this product.
I know a guy who use it on a mk6 golf R just fine. He said that all the vag-com code that he was interested for worked.

I don't know about the B7 tho

I have a considerable amount of coding to do as well as having a tool to track down any CEL's I may get.

Well, considering it says "OBDeleven can be used with any AUDI, VOLKSWAGEN, SEAT or ŠKODA model" directly on their website...

It supports KII and CAN so it absolutely can communicate with your car. Too bad its Android only...

Thankfully I have an Android phone. I will post an update once I get it with a review.

Interested to see how it is. Could be a really nice tool to have for quick diagnostic work when VCDS is too arduous a tool to use.

I'm an iPhone guy but plan on picking up a Nexus soon to play with. I'm a UX designer so it's in my best career interests to be knowledgeable of the "other side of the fence" whenever possible.

I got mine a couple of weeks ago. Great tool. Easy to use. All of the small mods you can do with vagcom, I've been able to do with this tool. Obviously not as big a community support as vagcom, buit great tool overall since all I really need to do is plug in the tool, connect, and good to go. You can pretty much follow the vagcom mod directions.

Just got mine today, my god this is interesting
I mainly just wanted to try the needle sweep app but quickly realized it was not possible on the B7 :(

I got mine from amazon directly from VoltIT seller they ship from Lithuania took almost a month. I would recommend buy from duesautoparts located in the states with free shipping and actually cheaper too.

It has all the features I need, fault codes and codings etc. I use it with my kindle fire hdx after side loading the app. This is the cheapest and fastest tablets that works. eBay used HDX sells around $50.

Now I need to find more things to do with it.

I bought one months ago, love it. Keep it in my glove box incase of any issues. Still new to market so they're still ironing out bugs and expanding its capability, but mine works great

Can't you drive when it's plugged in?
I wanna just keep mine in all the time and when I need to check sometime I'll just open up the app and connect

I haven't tried but I don't see why you couldn't. I don't think you wanna change coding while the car is running though, that's asking for trouble IMO. Plus I don't leave it in there because it's always on... even when the car is off completely

It reads boost. Not sure how accurate since I don't have a boost gauge. But it's essentially Engine Control Module > Live Data > Channel 115. To convert mbar to psi use (mbar - 1000) * 0.0145037738. Hopefully that helps. Pulled this info from other posts so thanks to those guys!

I see that you can make VAGCOM type changes, but does this allow you to do full VAGCOM changes outside of what a cheap eBay VAGCOM cable will do? I have a cheap eBay cable, it lets me program seatbelt chime, windows etc. and the Bluetooth ODBII works fine with my Nexus for reading fault codes, logging etc. Just trying to figure out what makes this any better for at least a B7 A4 at 3 x the price of a cheap BT adapter and eBay cable.

I don't remember the exact cable I bought, but it was one of these cheap ones http://www.ebay.com/itm/VAG-COM-KKL-...989906&vxp=mtr

Mine (and I am sure the one linked above) won't do all the coding that you can do with a full version of VAG-COM, but it allows basic coding. Really depends what you are after.

i'm using the tool and it works just well. Just not as well as VAGCOM obviously. You have to manually choose the channel you want to view, like 106 to view LPFP duty cycle, but it doesn't tell you anything other than the information extrapolated from the ECU.
